Civilization and Strength
There is a misconception: that the advanced must eliminate the backward, and that civilization must replace the thug.
The truth is that the advanced can eliminate the backward, but what gets replaced is not necessarily backward.
Civilization can replace the thug, but what gets replaced is not necessarily a thug.
A thug can eliminate good people too. That does not mean the thug is more civilized. In the same way, something that appears later on the timeline is not necessarily more advanced either.
If what you worship is the law of the jungle, then civilization is out of the question. The weak can be civilized too, just like ordinary people — civilized but unremarkable. Civilization is a faith; civilization is not necessarily strong, but it must strive to be strong, and use that strength to protect civilization.
